Adam’s Vision: AIA as the Portal to the Future of Architecture
Adam Pantelimon envisions an AIA that’s bold, inclusive, and future-ready. His campaign is about more than leadership—it’s about building a legacy of impact. With global experience, public service, and a passion for innovation, Adam is committed to transforming AIA into a platform that empowers architects as creators, leaders, and agents of change worldwide.
01
Artificial Intelligence in Architecture
AI and emerging technologies aren’t threats—they’re tools we can use to design smarter cities, more resilient communities, and better workflows. I’m committed to integrating technology that empowers us—not replaces us.
02
Equity in Access to Opportunities
Every architect, no matter where they live or what stage they’re in, deserves a fair shot. I’ll push for equitable access to leadership, licensure, and resources—and launch Business Architecture Hubs that create real opportunities for growth, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.
03
Supporting the Next Generation
Tomorrow’s architects need more than design skills. They need to understand how architecture intersects with economics, social change, politics, and technology. I’ll advocate for education and mentorship that prepares architects to lead across disciplines—and shape the future from every angle.
WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TODAY WILL SOON BECOME OUR FUTURE

Remembering Kennedy’s historic words...
“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”...
"We should ask not what AIA can do for you – ask what you can do for your/our AIA”!

PLATFORM
together for one architecture
My plan during my term as At-Large Director of the American Institute of Architects Board
consists of 6 directions.
I constantly persevere in Architecture Leadership, and I envision:
1
GOVERNANCE
AIA shall safeguard and sustain the framework of rules and practices by which the board of directors ensures accountability, fairness, and transparency within the corporation's relationship with its all stakeholders.
Formulate the AIA vision, mission and objectives, and develop the strategic plan.
2
GLOBAL PORTAL
HOUSE OF ARCHITECTURE
With 100,000+ members across 100 countries, supported by AIA International, 7 international chapters, and 5 sections, AIA must become a “Global Portal” where ideas become knowledge.
By hosting systemic events reflecting cultural and practice contexts, and celebrating members’ work at home and worldwide, then, AIA should become the “House of Architecture”
3
AIA WORLD's 22nd CENTURY PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTE
To inspire and generate ideas and new thinking, to share learning and best practice from thought leaders and experts, To form new partnerships, To provoke action and collectively bring about change, and To celebrate achievements, we must guarantee that AIA will be the “World’s 22nd Century Professional Institute” by using today’s AI technology to benefit our members & communities.
4
AIA AMBASSADOR
PROTECT OUR BIODIVERSITY
and
THE RIGHT OF SPECIES TO EXIST
Moving forward, the AIA should continue to guide membership needs, foster relationships, and proactive promote information sharing through multiple communication platforms. The role of AIA is one of active listening, culture building, and constant communication.
Outside of our organization, we will work together to expand the relevance of AIA for society, and partner with other affiliate professional organizations.
AIA should cherish the international community to PROTECT OUR BIODIVERSITY &
THE RIGHT OF SPECIES TO EXIST!
5
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT "ARCHITECTURAL INTERNATIONAL HUBS"
To create a future with better buildings, better communities, and a better world, we have to be flexible, nimble, and seize opportunities to turn dilemmas into advantages thereby making a difference in social, environmental, and economic realms. We must elevate our influence; support firms and members; and distribute our resources among our members and components.
We should build on our existing infrastructure, having the US territory chapters and the current AIA ambassador members from over 100 countries waiting for opportunities to work with you, here and now, to serve practices developing their businesses and create “Architectural International Hubs” across the country, and our 8 international chapters & 5 sections.
6
CULTURAL EXCHANGES
Our profession is changing and we need to shift the way we practice to increase our prosperity and relevance. We are adapting our businesses to provide new services to clients; we are changing our practices with emerging technology; our career trajectories no longer follow a single path. Together, AIA should support the young generations, architectural education, and cultural exchanges. As well, AIA should provide to its members Continuing Education to stay current with the latest developments, skills, and new technologies, as is playing a pivotal role on achieving our mission.
